It all began back in the infamous year of 2023. Why so infamous, you might think? I’ll tell you why – because … Well, maybe not so infamous, but just the year of 2023 then.
One of the older dudes was chilling and Doom scrolling on Facebook when he suddenly saw a youngster ask for a compainen for an online project going into the ingame items industry and up against the well known and established giants.
We quickly found out how to do it and so began the journey of Davids fight against Goliath.
The first half of a year we spend searching for marketing companies and webpage creators, and ooooooh boy, was it a tough fight!
At a time, we sat down, looked at each other and fought deeper about how we should get this going. All this happened while we both went to school and kept a 37 work hour week, was there for our familys and still used time on our hobbys.
The older dude had a IT company where he was out helping all kind of people with different kind of IT projects. At one time he was out at a customer and meet a guy who liked to invest in small companies and startups .. And suddenly with a swing of whatever you feel for swinging, we had a investor! So from being two working many hours on the project we now was three.
We now where at the point where we should give the project a name.. A friend of the group came up with EpicRetail. However, that name was taking so we had to do some lawyer magic. First step was to call the owner of the name, and ask him politly if we could use the name.
After a week or two trying to reach out, we got a text back saying the owner was on vacation and he’ll call us back when he was home. Finally, he called back.. That must have been one of the longest vacation I’ve never been on!
We had a phone meeting where we told our history, what we would be selling, how we would go online etc. And out of nothing the owner said: ”That sounds interesting! I want to invest in that!”
When we heard that we was like: ”WFT?!”
We all got together, get the terms in place and agreed on a deal, so from being 2 for just a month ago, we was 4.
Now we had the name in place, we had investors so our budget had to upgraded. So our focus was back on the web page where all you guys will be doing your trading – we still needed a company that we could trust and that could complete the task.
After holding we dont know how many meetings across the Danish country, online meetings, coffee meetings and what else kind of meeting we were holding … Actually we was about to say: ”Well, thanks for the fight! It’s been a pleasure…” In came our supplier!
We started fighting about the terms and finally we got to a point where everyone was satisfied and the funny thing about this entire project began:
Building the web page for you guys!
During the building we had several meetings, adding and removing things, editing text, pictures etc.
Im writing the story along the way. This is what have happened so far in the making of EpicRetail. More will come later on.
